Big Tupper has been getting lots of play in the press lately, both within the Adirondack Park and beyond. ARISE, the non-profit that will be running Big Tupper this winter, is hosting a benefit fundraising on Saturday, December 14th, at the mountain–the Snowball. We went to the last one and it was an absolute blast–the lodge looked incredible, everyone was all dressed up and we laughed, danced and enjoyed wine and apps all night. The Albany-based Times Union reports the mountain is hoping to open for the season on December 16th. Lift tickets will again be just $25 and Camp Wilderness Sunrise is open throughout the winter for rental (and we have a wood-burning fireplace!).
