I’ve been a total and complete blog slacker–my apologies. We’ve been busy renovating, though, if that’s any consolation. From Thanksgiving through the end of the year, we finished the new hardwood floors in the living room, hallway and master bedroom, finished the new floor in the bathroom, installed a new toilet, painted the kitchen cabinets, finished all the electrical work, gutted and primed the basement, started on the kitchen floor and took some time off to enjoy the Camp and have some fun. Ready to see some progress? Follow me.
We had Christmas at the Camp–and we can arrange to have it decorated for your Christmas celebration next year, if you’re interested in renting it.
We took more trips to the Wild Center–the coolest being New Year’s Day when we had The Pines (natural playground in the woods) and trails to ourselves (and our dogs). We went to Lake Placid and took our kids ice skating for the first time on the Olympic Oval–then had sushi for dinner across the street. We went sledding on the golf course. We snowshoed across the lake (and pulled the kids in sleds).
It’s been a crazy month work-wise, but we’ll be back to work soon–and by work I really mean skiing. Our target “renting to the general public” date has been pushed back to the Spring, at the earliest–we ripped off all the old trim and it’s a lot of work to get new trim ready and installed. And did I mention it’s ski season? We’re trying to enjoy that. If we know you, we’re flexible on the whole rental thing, so long as you’re flexible on the whole “there’s no trim on the windows and doors” thing. Email me or contact me via Facebook if you’re interested.
